How to Make Teeth White
There are many tips about how to get white teeth but, in essence, it all comes to three different whitening treatments.
- Whitening toothpastes. They usually lighten the teeth by one shade. They contain abrasives or enzymes that remove surface stains. Some products include bleaching ingredients.
Good toothpastes contain special silica abrasives that remove surface stains and prevent them from forming. Sodium tripolyphosphate is good for calcified stains while a patented whitening agent Citroxain chemically disrupts stains.

- Strips, trays and gels. They use peroxide to whiten teeth. Keep in mind that these products can permanently damage your tooth enamel if used for long periods of time. Whitening should be avoided if you’re pregnant or nursing or under 16 years old. The same goes for people with worn enamel, exposed roots, gum disease and untreated cavities.
