Sunscreen Tips

- Regardless of your type of skin (pale or deeply pigmented), always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a SPF of at least 15.

- This type of sunscreen protects against both ultraviolet A rays (which cause premature aging) and ultraviolet B rays (which cause sunburn).

- You should also use a lip balm containing a sunscreen with a sun protection factor of at least 15.

- You need to use sunscreen every day; apply it 15 minutes before going out.

- Use an ounce of sunscreen and reapply at least every 2 hours.

- You also need to reapply sunscreen after swimming. Even water-resistant sunscreens become ineffective after half an hour in the water.

- Try to spend most of your time in the shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m when the sun’s rays are strongest.
