Sensitive Skin Care

Although many people consider their skin to be sensitive, the actual percentage of people with sensitive skin is very low.

In any skin type there are sensitivities but it is more common for people with fair skin to be sensitive.

Sensitive skin will burn more easily than other skin types when exposed to the sun and there is also a tendency for the skin to flush easily. Sensitive skin is often excessively dry.

Ingredients in skin care products can cause reactions for those people who have sensitive skin and it is wise to try small test samples of products.

People with sensitive skin will not only react to the ingredients in face care products but they will also be susceptible to many other things such as food, alcohol and changes in the season.

Rosacea is a common problem as is the occurrence of red capillaries on the surface of the skin and red acne that can occur on the face and across the upper chest.

People with sensitive skin need to use products that are very mild as almost anything can cause a reaction.

The best products are those that have the least ingredients in them, but don’t be fooled because some of the natural skin care products can also be quite harsh.

Sometimes it is quite difficult to determine what is causing a sensitive skin condition. There can be many different factors that can cause your skin to become sensitive and is not always that simple to find a solution.

If you are using many products this will only make the task all the more difficult. The best solution if you are finding your skin is becoming sensitive is to determine if there have been any changes in the products that you have been using.

Obviously if you’ve recently changed products and your skin has become sensitive then that will be the first thing that you would look at.

If there have been no changes in the face care products that you have been using then you will need to look at other factors including your lifestyle and any changes that you might have made recently.

It could be that you have always had an underlying condition that has been made worse from some other factors such as stress.
