As you age, your skin gradually becomes thinner, fragile, and finely wrinkled.
A prestigious Mayo Clinic offers four ways to help keep healthy and youthful-looking skin.
1. Protect your skin from the sun. Strong ultraviolet rays cause damage to skin, leaving deep wrinkles and rough, dry skin. Mayo Clinic recommends wearing long sleeves and tightly woven fabrics.
2. Stop smoking! Cigarette smoking reduces skin’s strength and elasticity. In addition, pursing your lips and squinting your eyes when smoking, contribute to wrinkles.
3. Wash your skin. Avoid long, hot showers. Have short baths and showers with warm water. Also avoid strong soaps; use mild ones or detergent substitutes. And pat dry your skin with a soft towel.
4. Moisturize. Most homes and workplaces are very dry. Different things suck moisture out of the air. Use moisturizers with glycolic acid.
