How to Shop Beauty Products

Keep in mind these facts when shopping for beauty products and you may find those that will get you smooth, almost wrinkle-free skin like a famous celebrity.

There are so much beauty treatments on the market with different claims that is hard to find those that really work. Here is what to look for:

Pay attention to ingredients! Buy products that are packed with ingredients recommended by dermatologists. Those include: antioxidants, idebenone, retinoids, alpha and beta hydroxy acids, growth factors, and peptides.

According to experts, the best products are those with Retinol, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, and metrixyl. Vitamins A and C are also great anti-aging ingredients, proved by many studies.

You need to ignore marketing hype! And keep in mind that expensive products are not always the best one. Follow this simple rule: if the claim on the product label says that it’s better than a surgical procedure, do not buy it. Cosmeceuticals are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and this means that their claims may be greatly exaggerated. Also remember that natural skin care products are less tested than synthetic ones.

To find the best treatment, visit a dermatologist that will give you customized recommendations for your skin. Not all skin types will benefit from the same treatment.

Remember that there’s no a miracle treatment! Topical treatments are in most cases only good for preventative measures. They can also slow down aging, but they cannot completely remove fines lines or wrinkles.

How well a beauty product will work for you depends largely on your skin type and your skin care regime. You will achieve the best results by combining several products.
