A new trend in fashion will hit the catwalks of New York in September 2009, when the newly formed New York Fashion Week Organization (NYFW) will put on a series of charitable consumer fashion shows.
People have long been fighting for the ability to buy the latest creations worn by pop icons on demand.
Fast fashion, a term used to describe the immediate release of designer creations straight to the consumer market is rapidly gaining in popularity with customers who are no longer willing to wait 6 months or even more that it takes garments to make the journey from catwalk to shop window.
Fashionistas near and far will not only be able to purchase their invitation for the exclusive catwalk shows hosted this Fall by NYFW, but will also be able to buy their favorite designs straight off the runway on their mobile smart phones.
These events will not only enable designers to showcase their latest creations ahead of their competitors, but also to manufacture garments according to consumer demand.
The fashion conscious people masses will not only be able to fulfill their fantasy of sitting stage side at an exclusive runway show, buying the latest designs at will, but they will also be making a contribution to help others in need. All ticket proceeds from the September event will benefit children in crisis.
