About Natural and Organic Skin Care Products



Natural and organic skin care products are now available everywhere. You can even found them at your local drugstore.

But how to tell if a product is natural or organic?

The Natural Products Association (NPA) has created standards for natural product certification.

How to get the NPA seal? A product must contain 95% truly natural ingredients. Also, it may not contain any ingredients that can harm human health.

On the other hand, there is government rule of labeling organic products.

A product can be labeled as organic and can carry the USDA organic seal only if it contains at least 95% organically grown ingredients.

If a product only claims to be made with organic ingredients than it must contain at least 70% organically grown ingredients and cannot carry the USDA organic seal.

Keep also in mind that natural or organic skin care products are not more effective than artificial ones. It is the concentration of ingredients in a product that are more important.
