Tips for Getting Rid of Acne

People often think that diet is the most important cause of acne. But there is no evidence for such a claim.

A much better guess is that your lifestyle has something to do with your acne.

Did you know that 80% of American teens and 40% of U.S. adults complain of pimples? But in Papua, New Guinea, the number is almost 0%, so it has to be our lifestyle!

Here are some tips for getting rid of acne.

A lack of omega-3 fatty acids is one of the reasons you suffer from acne. Eat avocados, walnuts, freshly ground flaxseed, canola oil, fish oils, or DHA supplements from algae to get adequate amounts of these fats.

Stress is another cause. Studies have found that teens during exams have more bouts of acne while under pressure.

To calm a severe form of pimples called cystic acne, the steroid medication triamcinolone is used.

Don’t squeeze pimples; instead, wash your face with a coarse washcloth and mild soap to break open them.

Effective methods for reducing acne include salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid, and vitamin A creams or gels.

A good natural treatment for acne and rosacea (a form of adult acne) is an ancient Chinese remedy - seabuchthorn oil. Try the soap form to use it topically.
