How to Use Tea Tree Oil for Acne

Many people are using natural treatments to take care of acne.

A very popular organic material used for this purpose is Tea Tree Oil. It is incredibly effective with getting rid of acne. It can kill the skin-dwelling bacteria that is involved in causing acne.

The problem is that often people don’t know how to use this resource. A lot of people are using the oil itself.

However, using pure oil on your skin can do a great deal of damage – you can dry out your skin or even change its tone! Other side effects include irritation, redness, blistering and itching.

You need to dilute this oil in another base, such as sweet almond oil or grape seed.

Start by using 2 or 3 drops of Tea Tree Oil, per two tablespoons of a base oil. If your skin is oily, replace the base oil with water.

Once you are sure that there is no skin damage, you can increase the amount. However, make sure that you use each new mixture for at least 7 days before making it stronger.

Keep in mind that Tea Tree Oil tooks longer to work initially.

Use your solution by first washing your face with a gentle cleanser and patting dry. Place the solution to a cotton ball and apply a light layer to your skin.
